What an amazing 2014 I had. I worked with so many fantastic photographers and have been to some stunning wedding venues – I had to share the highlights with you! So here follows my wedding hair and makeup review of 2014 part 1!
Ali wanted to enhance her natural curls and have as natural makeup as possible. I used soft brown eye shadows to enhance Ali’s features, with a light ample pink Mac lip gloss.
What an beautiful venue and such a perfect hot summer’s day. Becky wanted her hair down with very soft curls, clipped up at the side and very flawless natural make up. Her amazing lace dress really went with the style of her hair. Golden blonde, goldie-brown eye shadows were used to accentuate Becky’s amazing blue eyes.
I used Kiehl’s tinted moisturiser to keep her skin glowing and radiant. Soft waves with straighteners created the hair look.
For Winky I created a flawless look. Winky didn’t want to go down the tradition Chinese look for hair and makeup. We were in the 1920’s art deco Eltham Palace which is just a beautiful place to work in. The wonderful photographer was Jeff Ascough whom I have worked with a few times now. Winky wanted to have very flawless skin and a bit more glam to her makeup, as she had three other outfits to change into. She chose to have individual lashes which always complete a look to me.
I used lots of browns from my Naked palette in Winky’s sockets to really make her eyes stand out, as well as a flick with the liner.
Her hair was in a high curled bun, but the bun had to be high enough to fix in securely the amazing vail.
Soft low messy buns seemed to be the in thing in 2014. With Georgina that’s exactly what I did. I also put in some extensions to bulk out the bun. The different highlights in blonde hair really looks great when doing a messy bun, as the light picks up all the different tones of colours. Georgina’s makeup was very natural. I used a champagne eye shadow on the lid and a very soft golden brown Mac patina in the socket. Lash extensions finished her eyes off and a sofa Retro pink lips Mac with a cream salmon cheeks.
I just love the picture of the happy couple that photographer Alexis Jaworski has taken here.
